Singing in the Church Choir

 Singing in the Church Choir can be a rewarding way to serve God and be a blessing to the congregation. Here are some questions you should be able to answer before commiting to this ministry of music.

Can you sing?

Almost anyone could be a part of a church choir. It takes only a minimun level of singin ability and that can usually be learned. That being said there are people who just don't have it yet. If you think you don't ask someone to tell you honestly. I know most people would never want to hurt your feelings by saying you sound bad but sometimes the palin truth would benefit everyone in the long run. If you are not an asset to the chucrh choir then find a ministry in the church where you do make a positive impact. 

Do you really have the time?

Consider your time commitment also. You will need to practice with the group and liekly some on your own also. Once you join, treat your membership as an obbligation and be faithful to practice and performance.

Do you enjoy singing for the Lord?

You'll be able to make it through tough practices if your heart is in it. It will show on your face when you are singing in front of the congregation. No one wants to see you struggle week after week and look like your really not "into this church choir thing."
